Lovely cooked breakfast with sausage, bacon and black pudding hash brown, beans, mushrooms, tomato and good quality toast, and great value (£12.50). Modern clean interior, cosy and warm. Very welcoming. Free Wifi and Dog Friendly!!

Just popped in for a coffee ☕️ and wasn't disappointed, fab place both in and out. Definitely worth a sit outside to watch the world go by and a fab backdrop of Helmsley Castle. Absolutely returning for some food soon!

Stellar, and rather posh, ploughmans lunch with delectable looking desserts and tray bakes on offer. Excellent lunch menu with great variety on offer. Local beer on tap and friendly, sometimes frantic, service - though worth the wait!

Great place which we visited 3 times in a week due to the friendly staff and great food. It was lovely that this is dog friendly. I had the Yorkshire breakfast, the Yorkshire platter and on the third day I had the club sandwich and I could recommend trying any of them.

We had lunch here after visiting the birds of prey. The food was excellent and the service was excellent. They brought the wrong thing for my granddaughter and were very quick to change it.

Very nice and dog friendly cafe, unfortunately, the chips they serve, are not chips they are potato wedges, they are far too big for chips. I would point out that they serve French fries as well. We are in Yorkshires, not the south of England where this wedges fad started. It Totally spoiled the meal.

Came in today for the first time it was so welcoming & cosy!! Staff really friendly & brilliant service Me & my husband had a cream tea he swapped his pot of tea for a hot chocolate with not drinking tea. The scones were delicious definitely will be back again & Highly recommend Thank you for today

Called in for lunch on spec. What stood out was the service provided by the front of house young people. So often, businesses recruit youngsters because they're available but don't train them well. These guys were all brilliant - engaging with every customer whilst serving really efficiently. They stood in stark contrast to the team at a well-known coffee chain earlier in the day when we stopped on the M62 - they were all nattering among themselves, with little customer focus.
Tasty food here too - my coronation chicken sandwich wasn't one of those anaemic jobs the width of a sheet of paper, but a hearty affair crammed with a spicy filling. How nice to find somewhere doing the simple things so very well.
